CONGRATULATIONS RHIANNA
Rhianna won her first international honours last weekend representing England in the U18 British Isles International Series in Solihull. Competing in the mixed pairs with George Hopper she won a bronze medal coming third behind Scotland A and B.
England had two teams competing in each of the formats against the Channel Islands, Ireland, Scotland and Wales over two days. A strong start on Friday saw her and her partner win all their matches, finishing top of their group and qualifying for the medal matches on Saturday. Unfortunately, Scotland’s two teams proved too strong for the pair and they finished third. This was however a tremendous result for Rhianna playing in her first match for England.
Rhianna also played in the fours. They narrowly failed to qualify for the medal matches however went on to finish 5th, missing out on 4th place on points difference.
Rhianna will next be representing England in the U25 Women’s British Isles International Series against Scotland, Wales and Ireland in Ffrith, Wales on 11th and 12th February.
