There is generally no fee to play in friendlies. However, for certain away fixtures, especially indoor matches, where an after-match meal is provided, there is a fee. On the exceptional occasion that we feel it appropriate to reciprocate with an after-match meal, there could also be a fee.

Match Stewards for Home Fixtures

The team selection sheet will indicate the two players who will act as Stewards for the fixture.

Stewards should arrive at the club approximately an hour before play. The following duties should be agreed between the stewards:

Outdoors:
Set out the rinks
Put up the club flag (cupboard under Welcome Board)
Display the visiting club’s name on Welcome Board in the entrance lobby (in cupboard under the board)
If required in hot weather put out the water flasks and plastic mugs

Indoors:
Set up a table for each rink with its number displayed (rink number kept in cupboard above worktop next to the fridge)
Put the coloured raffle tokens (kept in cupboard above worktop next to fridge) in a plastic cup on each table £1 per player.

The Match Captain to select the raffle prizes, one for each table, from the kitchen cupboard next to the fridge.  Match Captain is also responsible for collecting any cash and placing it in the floor safe.

After Match Refreshments for Home Fixtures
It is the responsibility of each player to organise the after-match refreshments for their opposing team member. During the final end ask your opponent whether they would like a drink from the bar, or tea/coffee and a biscuit. It is then your responsibility to organise and pay for both yours and your opponent’s choice.

After the match all members of the home team are requested to help tidy away the green equipment and ensure that all padlocks are secured. All members of the home team are also requested to help clean up the clubhouse and make sure it is clean and tidy.
