Welwyn & District
Bowls Club is situated on the edge of Welwyn village
in semi-rural Hertfordshire – an ideal spot to enjoy a game of bowls! The Club owns and maintains its own
The Club is a mixed club and
men's, ladies' and mixed matches are arranged.
The Club is open during the non-playing season when there is a full programme of indoor activities and social events. Its wide
range of activities and broad appeal to all tastes enabled the Club to be
awarded the English Bowling Association’s national Club of the Year competition
2006 having been runners-up in 2005.
The Club welcomes new members of all ages and abilities. New members will have
a "buddy" to assist them in their induction and there are fully
qualified coaches who hold coaching sessions for those requiring it.
